Customer services stink

I bought my second Motorola edge 40 NEO. I can't fault it as a phone, it was as an upgrade from my Motorola 20 which developed charging problems after just under a year. Just inside of its warranty.Customer services were a nightmare to deal with. Eventually it was evidential they weren't going to help, despite me initially contacting them within the warranty period, they flatly refused to acknowledge they'd heard from me. By the time I'd escalated the claim, they stuck by their guns that it was then out of warranty.Despite this, I gave them a 2nd chance with my new purchase.Big mistake!Again a beautiful phone, I spent many happy hours on it, until I dropped it in water.I dried it out the best I could and again it was working well, except the back camera had stopped working. I checked with Motorola and was assured I was within their 2 year warranty, but eh, it was water damage, which they say voided any claim. I would have understood this, but in their glorified advertising, one of their key points is/was that their advanced technology was the phone was water resistant up to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes. I dropped into roughly 10" water for as many seconds as it took to quickly retrieve it. So they are falsely advertising at least. They do not want to know!Amazon eventually said they would sort it, they sent it away. It was gone for 3½ weeks. I was told they were waiting for a spare part, when suddenly it was returned, not repaired, they claimed it was out of warranty. If that was the case why were they waiting on spare parts? None of it makes sense.I'd love to own a new Motorola, but I wont. Nor will I buy one from Amazon again. (My go-to shopping venue)So the moral is don't buy from Motorola, their advertising is false, they don't want to honour warranties.
