I was referred by my GP to Mr Cheung in 2016 as my right eye had developed a twitch 12 months previously and had been worsening. From my first appointment at Russells Hall hospital and all subsequent appointments, until I moved this year to a different area, I have been impressed and very pleased with the care that I have received from Mr Cheung.During my first appointment, not only did he diagnose my condition as blepharospasm but he clearly explained how the treatment (botox injections) would work and its frequency (every 15 weeks) and administered the injections. He was patient in answering my questions and really cheerful and friendly. Not at all intimidating which is how some consultants can appear.The treatment worked well and I was able to do my job more efficiently because the twitching was greatly reduced and I also felt a lot happier and confident socially.I continued to see Mr Cheung for top-up injections and he was always friendly and professional. When waiting times increased and my condition worsened, he offered what help that he could in trying to bring my appointment forward.I highly recommend Mr Cheung for his professionalism and his ability to put his patients at ease. He really does enjoy his work!
