I brought my vehicle in for an MOT and it failed. The reasons cited were a worn wheel bearing and a major engine malfunction, as indicated by the engine management light being on. I was informed they could repair it, but it would take several days since they needed to remove the entire rear to replace the bearing and suggested replacing another one at the same time. They expressed uncertainty about the engine's issues due to high emissions and quoted £1500 or more, recommending I consider purchasing a new car elsewhere. I consulted a local mechanic who deemed their assessment ridiculous. He mentioned that the bearing only costs £16 and by cleaning the two Lambda sensors, he could resolve the issues for no more than £200, completing it all the same day with an MOT re-test. He specializes in my vehicle brand. Everything was fixed successfully. This service seems fraudulent and lacks expertise, possibly seeking work after relocating to a less expensive area but unable to perform even basic tasks. The technician admitted he didn't know how to drop an engine on my vehicle, which is quite telling. I strongly advise against using their services.
