I booked our Denia-Javea (Ida y Vuelta) boat trip on the Mundo Marino website. When booking it, I selected the time of our outward journey, but there was no option to select a time for the return journey. Before I finished booking I used the WhatsApp function to clarify that I was booking correctly and they confirmed that it was an open ticket and I could select the return journey on the day: “En el billete *Ferry Dénia-Jávea (Ida y Vuelta)* solo debes elegir la hora de salida desde Dénia; la vuelta desde Jávea queda *abierta*, por lo que podrás regresar en cualquiera de las salidas programadas del mismo día, siempre que haya plazas disponibles. Simplemente muestra tu billete al embarcar en Jávea.”I also checked the page on the website: “¿QUÉ INCLUYE?Paseo en barco hasta Jávea y vuelta.” However when we got there the lady at the ticket office told me I had only paid for one way and needed to pay an extra €20 if I wanted a return journey. I explained that I had booked a ticket called “Ida y vuelta” and showed her my WhatsApp conversation but she still said we had to pay. This was a disappointing start to the day. I’d booked the catamaran but we had to get the ferry out there. It was extremely choppy out at sea! We were nervous for the return journey.When we boarded the catamaran for the return journey back to Denia, the vibe was completely different!! It was like a party boat (we didn’t mind this, even with 2 young children but I can imagine some people would so it should have been made clear). We really enjoyed the catamaran :) .It’s a shame that the purchasing experience is so misleading as it really put a dampener on our day.
