It has now been a full calendar month since I passed my test, and I wanted to share an objective review; so, here it is. The first star goes to the initial lessons, particularly the emphasis on junctions. There was a strong focus on making left and right turns on both residential streets and busy roads. The second star is for the techniques that, while tailored to a specific vehicle, can be practiced on any car. These include strategies for bay parking (both forward and reverse) and parallel parking. The third star is awarded for mastering roundabouts, thanks to the opportunities created by the “blockers.” There was also guidance on maintaining proper positioning, especially when lanes are not clearly marked. The fourth star recognizes the Q&A sessions. Don’t hesitate to ask questions for clarity, even if they seem silly; the instructor is always willing to answer, no matter how strange the question may seem 😂 The fifth star is for the commitment and dedication shown. On some days, the lessons felt overwhelming, and I considered cutting them short. Instead, alternative maneuvers were suggested. I wanted to change my test date, but this was strongly discouraged. Even when the instructor was ill and canceled most other learners, he stayed committed to those he deemed essential. Another instructor might have just shown up on test day without prior lessons. I passed on my first attempt with less than two months remaining on my theory test! I’d even give a sixth star for that!!!
