Firstly, the cabin itself was great quality including design and materials. Secondly the support in putting it up was excellent and any phone calls I made were answered quickly and very helpfully. Thirdly the team who installed the cabin were professional, friendly and fast. We have ended up with an excellent cabin which has exceeded expectations. I would recommend MyCabin very highly.

We are delighted with the results. They did a fantastic job in working with us, from designing a bespoke cabin to installation. They were so accommodating and we even received our cabin before the expected date. The lads were great to have on site as they had it finished for us within four days.

In June 2022, we paid our 50% deposit with the balance due on completion. However, there was a lack of communication from My Cabin regarding dates and start times. Our foundation was laid and cured according to their specifications, which we had to pay for. At the end of November, they informed us that they would start the following week and requested the remaining balance. Although we questioned this, it was stated in the contract that they had the right to request payment in advance. As they already had 60k of our money, we felt obliged to pay.Upon the arrival of the house materials, our plumber and electrician noticed that there was no insulation and the wood appeared to be thin. When we approached My Cabin about this issue, they were unhelpful. They even suggested that I should have known the exact process and specifications of construction. We spent an additional 40k to rectify the issues, resulting in the house frame being taken back, and construction being delayed until the new year. Two days before Christmas, they contacted us again, notifying us that the remaining materials needed to be protected until construction resumed. Consequently, we had to incur an additional expense of 10k for material storage. On March 10th, we received a call informing us that construction would begin the next day. We had to make last-minute arrangements, booking accommodation for the team and ensuring the presence of our plumber and electrician on-site. However, upon their arrival, it became apparent that they were subcontractors, rather than the promised in-house team. They expected electricity, despite us informing them in November that it was not available on-site. This led to an uncomfortable situation where they asked our neighbor for an extension cord and later insisted that we provide a credit card number for a generator rental, threatening to leave if we didn't comply. This resulted in a stressful 10 days, during which the construction team refused to collaborate with our other tradespeople and did not provide them with workspace. When we reached out to My Cabin for assistance, they insisted that I, should resolve the issue myself. Their expectation for me to take two weeks off work with only 24 hours' notice was unreasonable. Additionally, when the architect attempted to arrange BCMS certification, the company refused to assist. The construction was not completed on time, and the company blamed the other trade staff. This led to an additional expense of accommodating and providing meals for the team for an extra week. Finally, the house was finished in two weeks, but I was called down in the darkness at 10pm to conduct the final inspection. I refused to sign due to identified issues, My Cabin claimed that this would void any warranty. Subsequently, the roof began to leak, and we received no assistance from the company. We discovered that the soffits, which were supposed to be positioned around the entire house, were only installed on the side of the house. Furthermore, there were various mistakes such as misdrilled holes in the roof sheets, which were not filled.Their response below is completely incorrect and the planning history of our house is easily searchable to prove this.

I could not recommend MyCabin enough. I ordered a 4X3 Kildare cabin for my home office. From start to finish the service was excellent and I did not need to worry about a single thing. And Donny and the build team did a fantastic job building it. Adam and Michelle in my Cabin went above and beyond. Thank you once again I love my new cabin.
