I wanted my child to join the lessons over the holidays to keep her focus. She is new and it wasn't explained there were 400+ pupils in the live lessons each time.Seems like the have pupils doing the main course alone with pupils joining for the summer, so the teacher seems to expect all children to understand at the same level but this is not the case.Would have been better to separate main classes and summer classes.I sat with my child during maths today and I saw many children saying they didn't understand but this was ignored, not even acknowledged by the teacher or spoken about. Seems like he was just expecting all children to understand and be at the level of the children doing the main course. He also spoke a million miles an hour, my child couldn't even write down the solution before moving onto the next question. She did have a better experience in chemistry where the teacher was more engaging with asking the children if they understood. Seems to me far to many children in one lesson, for the ones that maybe don't understand and to fast paced. No questions asked about my child beforehand. So far I'm not impressed, let's hope it gets better this week.
