I recently had a fitted bedroom installed by this company and unfortunately the experience since installation has been very disappointing.
The room was surveyed three separate times before installation, and the bed that I use was present and measured during the survey process. I therefore relied on the company’s professional expertise to ensure the design would work properly once installed.
However, once the room was finally in use it became clear that the clearance between the top of the bed and the cupboards above is extremely limited. It is not possible to sit up comfortably in bed and I have already made contact with the units when getting out of bed. In practical terms, the bed area is not usable as intended.
I raised the issue promptly and asked the company to review the installation. The response so far has been that the furniture was installed in accordance with the approved drawings, with an offer to make minor adjustments such as trimming the pelmet and reducing the headboard lip.
Unfortunately this does not address the underlying issue of the overall clearance above the bed.
I have asked the company to identify within the drawings where the vertical clearance above the bed is specified and to attend to inspect the installation so that a proper solution can be agreed. At the time of writing I am still awaiting a clear response.
I am simply looking for a functional bedroom that can be used normally, which is the least I expected given the cost of the installation.
I hope the company will still engage constructively and resolve the matter.
