I’m just gonna say it....I was terrible at interviews. The kind of terrible where you start answering a question, forget what you were talking about halfway through, and just start nodding like that’s a valid response. I knew I had to do something before my next interview, so I gave this a shot. First mock interview? A disaster. I fidgeted, said “um” a hundred times, and looked like I was being held hostage. But after watching myself on video (cringe, but necessary), I started getting better. I practiced answering tough questions, got feedback from a friend using the peer review feature, and—shockingly—felt ready for my real interview.
