It is sometimes so hard to fix and improve the structure of a relationship from within it; after many years together, my wife and I had transformed small fights into recurring resentment and this resentment undermined our attempts to find and fix the root of our disagreements. When everyone thinks that they do more than their fair share, grace and empathy are hard to find.I am so happy that we found Bryan late last year. In the 2 months that we worked together, Bryan communicated his perspective of how trust and respect build upon one another in a relationship and helped us identify how some patterns of our behavior (e.g. leaving too much ambiguity or failing to be consistently accountable) played a role in diminishing this trust and respect. I was surprised at how much of our sessions with Bryan involved the use of concrete tools that we practiced and expanded upon week by week. It really feels like Bryan is an expert with a well-honed framework for understanding and improving relationships. That is not, of course, to say that any of our sessions with Bryan were particularly easy but the many tough and vulnerable conversations my wife and I had were made easier (and indeed possible) because of Bryan’s calming presence and the tools we learned from him.Bryan is an excellent counselor who I have already recommended to others in my own life.
