As that one friend people believe to be fully grounded/always knows what she's doing, the go-to pillar for support & advice-- you'd think I'd be the last person to show up at the steps of Bryan's office. After spending enough time trying to overcome the lasting effects of my own personal trauma that led to some repeated mistakes I made in relationships, I realized like most, I could no longer let the spirit of stubbornness control me, finally throwing my hands up in the air to the universe and asking for help. I discovered Kairos here on Yelp. At the time I was in a weird on/off stalemate with my ex that left me feeling very unsettled and conflicted. Bryan is easily the most uplifting person. He demonstrates the understanding and patience needed in a coach that will help move you forward. He is the compassionate person who will listen to you as you unpack the messy stuff of being human and he dropped some valuable gems on setting boundaries and improving communication. I ultimately decided I'd no longer be getting back together with the dude after realizing we were heading off in different directions and not the right fit for each other. There was a huge weight pulled off my shoulders as I finally released myself from this limbo and I feel empowered knowing I've emerged with a trove of tools not only needed for being in a healthy, vulnerable relationship when I am with the right man, but simply to question, to grow, to engage better with others. My attitude at work has changed, I'm not afraid to advocate for myself when unjust issues arise and know to seek clarity with the other party rather than holding any presumptions. I even began my own podcast-- something I always had thoughts about over the last few years but never had the drive nor courage to truly execute! At this time, I feel strongly rooted in this journey of growth, excited for the upcoming chapters ahead, and simply loving the woman I am becoming.
