Review Time
Massive thanks to NDC for getting me from a car licence to a class 2 (cat c) licence, passing first time on friday the 13th of all days! They gave me sound advice and guidance following an assessment drive, which, coming from a car, was a bit of an eye opener, and support throughout.
My instructor, Mark, has been great, very knowledgeable and patient, assessing each drive individually, giving constructive feedback and highlighting areas that need work, then planning the next drive appropriately. Honestly couldn't have wished for a better experience.
Once again, a massive thank you to the team at NDC!

The Staff at NDC made me feel very welcome, they were helpful and polite. Having a Free driving assessment before doing my course was a nice touch, it allowed me to understand what I would be paying for and making sure to myself I was making the right choice. I'd like to give a special to my instructor Mark, he made me feel safe whilst in the lorry but also gave me confidence within myself when driving through his experience. Thanks again to all at NDC
I left a review after completing and passing my Class 2 licence with NDC and it only seems right to leave a review after completing and passing my Class 1. For reference I took the B to C&E course for about £3700. It might seem like a lot of money but taking this course with NDC is worth every penny, also if the money puts you off then trucking isn't for you. Once passing my Class 2 the week before and completing my first days practice on C&E I did not feel confident in myself that I would be able to pass it, however the team at NDC see something in me that I did not see myself and reassured me that how I was feeling was totally normal and thankfully made me stay at it. I cannot thank them enough as I was ready to quit on day one. My instructor Lee is top notch and not to make him seem old but he has more experience in trucking than I have years on this earth lol. I could say the same about all the other instructors they really know their stuff and it is a provider you can trust 100%. I will say i did fail at the first attempt but this was not the fault of the school or my instructor I just let the test day nerves get to me and made a stupid mistake at a red light🫣. If you are serious about getting your HGV licences definitely use NDC. I have dreamed about getting my licence for 7 years and thanks to everyone at NDC that wish came true.
The team at NDC are a great bunch of people who offer a focused and well thought out training environment for anyone wishing to undertake their training. Whilst at the centre I chatted to many others who were all getting on with the training and working towards their tests, whether that be cat C lorry, C+E artic or PCV. All agreed that the trainers are supportive, yet realistic about what’s needed and the standard required. If you put in the effort and are interested to learn you will be able to attain the level required to pass your test. It’s not easy, and if you don’t pass first time then they will certainly support you through a retest. Thanks to all at NDC. Get your straddle on! 👊
Pros my trainer Mark I would have to say is a cut above the rest. He was fantastic in explaining everything I needed to know and also if he didn’t know a question then he would find the answer very quickly. The school is very clean and tidy and easy to get to the rest of the staff are all very friendly and welcoming and the office staff are also great. I would recommend the driving school to anybody again. I would say that Mark explained exactly what we was doing on a daily basis. I feel you have more than enough time on the road and gained more than enough knowledge to take me further in my career.Cons I would say that the initial email is not very well presented. It just tells you where to be and a time of your day. I believe it should state a bit more information as to what you will be expecting. There is no food facilities so again this could be noted in the original email and just general relevant information. I did not know that there was an additional CPC module four exam until the first day of arrival I feel this should also be put in the initial email
