Oversold the booking then had delays

The journeys and driver staff were pleasant and helpful. However NE oversold the return booking for the coach surely they should only sell to be booked to capacity?The return journey was late by around an hour due to being oversold and when a second coach was put on to help appease this it still had to wait for the late arrival coach due to being unsure if they still have enough space. Overselling should not be allowed as it spoils an otherwise useful service.
