I don't usually write reviews as I don't like writing, but Nationwide really deserves credit for their all-round excellence for two large awnings we had installed by them in our house in North London.In the first instance we narrowed it down to Nationwide and Hillarys. The Hillarys salesperson who came round was borderline rude, and also claimed that it wasn't possible for him to even create a quote without me signing up to their awning T&Cs - which included having to wipe down the metalwork after each rainfall for their "warranty" to be valid. Their quote also wasn't any cheaper than Nationwide's in the end. Obviously I can't say what the actual product would have been from Hillarys but on closer inspection of their high Trustpilot score then I strongly suspect that they have a company somewhere which floods their account with fake five-star reviews to counteract all of their bad ones - they have over 8,000 one-star reviews!On the other hand, the Nationwide sales person we had - Faris - was both pleasant, knowledgeable and didn't hard-sell us.After signing up with them and the install date arrived, the installers found a large metal bar in the ground where a supporting post was to be installed, something none of us had foreseen. This meant that an entirely new metal post needed to be constructed to straddle the metal bar in the ground. They did this at their own expense without a quibble and the installers were all super friendly. I can't vouch for the long term durability but everything seems to be made to a very high quality.Finally, their customer service has also been second to none. When you phone them up you get through to an actual person quickly, AND they know what they are talking about and know your project.I really can't recommend them highly enough.
