NBC Environment were subcontracted via my insurance company to resolve a recent rodent infestation in my house. I was given Friday December 16th between 8am and 5pm as my appointment. At 4pm, having waited in all day, I called them. The Customer Services person said I should have been contacted to say that the technician was having problems with his van and wouldn't be able to keep the appointment. She apologised and said someone would contact me to rearrange the appointment asap. 30 minutes later, having heard nothing, I called back. Different customer services person this time who fobbed me off with a fairy tale about me now being a priority customer, that the issue had been escalated to the team leader who unfortunately was on holiday - why escalate an issue to someone who is on holiday??? - and could not contact me until Monday. Also said this did not mean there would be an appointment Monday. Kept cutting me off when I asked questions - especially about whether the job could be done in time for my grandchildren, son & daughter-in-law to stay over Christmas. Gave the impression she couldn't wait to get rid of me.
