Though the Neighbor billing process works quite well, aside from this I'm not really getting anything else from Neighbor. I don't recall in over a year having a referral come through Neighbor. ALL of the renters I have in my Neighbor account have been found through my efforts using Facebook Marketplace. Most of these I'll push over to Neighbor to handle the billing arrangements. But to be perfectly honest, there are some renters I have found on Facebook Marketplace where the Neighbor monthly fees charged to the renter and I are just too much to justify on the occasions I have a short term renter that I might give a break in the price, so on a few occasions I'm just working out cash payments directly between the renter and I. Again, these people didn't come through a Neighbor referral so I don't feel badly not referring these customers over to the Neighbor platform, when it financially doesn't make sense. But this is also making me consider whether it will make more sense for me to leave Neighbor altogether and manage the monthly billing of all the renters I am finding using a payment service provider. Again, to be clear, if I receive a Neighbor referred renter, I would NEVER work around the Neighbor system to avoid fees. But the truth is, I'm not getting almost any referred business from Neighbor and this has been very disappointing.
