I am the Head of Marketing at a Chattanooga-based company called Sockwell. We are a wellness brand and manufacturer of stylish, merino wool & bamboo compression socks with the goal of helping millions of people "Feel Better in Style.". When we started our work with the Neil Patel group, our organization was experiencing a dramatic dip in Organic site traffic due to some algorithmic changes in how Google crawls the internet to return search. This dip was affecting us financially and we saw traffic dip from 20.3K Organic site visitors (November 2021) all the way down to 8.4K at the lowest point (June 2022). We worked first to optimize the structure and messaging hierarchy on our website as well as optimize the keywords there. In tandem, the team also worked to develop new blog content informed by trending/relatable topics and keyword optimized. Those three major initiatives combined, we have now seen our Organic site traffic back up over 20K people for the past couple months. To put that in perspective of revenue, during the course of our initial one-year agreement, we saw a +12.8% net increase in organic site traffic that resulted in a directly attributable gain of +$203K in revenue. We also realized +103% increase in clicks on non-branded terms, a +193% increase in clicks on our blog content, and a +38.1% increase in backlinks. In the final quarter (1Q2023) of our first-year contract (when things really started clicking...because this work takes time and ongoing maintenance), Sockwell saw a +51.9% increase in Organic site visitors and +$113K in Organic site revenue. As we entered our second year with the team, it was evident that the work they were doing was working. Sockwell saw lasting spikes in traffic resulting in meaningful growth in revenue. We decided to continue our work with Neil Patel and our Account Manager, Keaton Henson. While the initial lift of site optimization was complete, it is important that we stay on top of things ongoing.
