I was shock to see nothing NEW exciting films and it’s just absolutely boring also I was expecting to see 2025 and 2026 NEW exciting comedy, action and non- cartoon or animation family films. Pointless to pay for nothing. I was planning to find non- cartoon animation comedy family that could make my mum laugh. So yeah, I’m not happy about what I sign up for

Netflix has its problems and I will get to those but at the end of the day it still has the best overall library of any streaming service I pay for and the algorithm for recommendations has gotten genuinely good at figuring out what I want to watch. The password sharing crackdown was annoying and the price increases have been consistent, but I have never once opened Netflix and found nothing to watch which is more than I can say for half the other services on my TV.

the volume of quality original content they put out is unmatched and in the last three months alone I've finished two limited series, a documentary, and a comedy special that were all genuinely excellent. Sure they cancel shows too quickly and the interface has gotten a little bloated, but the pure quantity of good stuff available means I'm almost always in the middle of something worth watching. Four stars because the price keeps going up but the value is still there for me personally.

My Netflix bill has gone up three times in the past four years and each time I have threatened to cancel and each time I have not cancelled because there is always something I want to finish or something new dropping that I'm excited about. That is either a testament to how good the content is or a sign that I have a problem and honestly it might be both. The ads on the cheaper tier are more intrusive than they advertised when they launched it, which is why I'm still on the standard plan against my better financial judgment.
