I have decided to buy a 1-bed flat from NHG Homes in June this year. We have exchanged in July and the completion date was scheduled for the end of September. Unfortunately at the beginning of August I have received a short email from the company informing me that the building did not receive NHBS sign-off so I can either wait until they find another provider to certify this wonky building (yeah, great idea) or I can withdraw from the contract and get my deposit and reservation fee back. I chose the latter. I have obviously lost the money spent on mortgage and solicitors fees. 2 months later I still haven't received my deposit and reservation fee back even though my solicitors are ready to proceed, all the documents are done and we are chasing weekly. This company is an absolute joke, avoid!
