My GP decided i needed blood tests, gave me a form and told me to arrange an appontment at one of the hospitals listed on the form The form showed an email address to contact Very good, easy peasy I thought...WRONG!Why does the NHS make it almost impossible to make a simple appointment prescribed by their GP without jumping through endless pointless computer system hoops? Why do they need me to prove identification when I have all the GP's references to give them.. Why do I have to have an iphone and a computer operating simultateously to tranfer pointless "security" numbers? Why do i have to submit a photo id when they cannot has any idea what I look like? Why is the whole process so convoluted, Is it just to deter people from using the NHS.? (seems like it)Do they actually ever try out their systems on ordinary people before releasing them on the public? There is absolutely no wonder the NHS is supposedly on it's knees when they insist on wasting huge sums of taxpayers money with the sole intention of making life - and possibly death! - as difficult as possible for us patients.. They should realise that many, possibly most, of the people who have to use these systems are not computer experts and finding their way around obscure web sites is a real challenge. especiallyfor people who may be suffering serious health problems at the time.I suppose nothing will change while the taxpayer continues to hand out huge sums of cash to allow them to perpetuate and expand these grotesque practices.
