NIMOFAN isn’t a mass brand — we’re a small forge based in Longquan, China, a city with over 2,000 years of swordsmithing tradition. Our workshop is home to just 11 full-time craftsmen. Real people. Real blades. No factory tricks or exaggerated branding.
We specialize in hand-forged Japanese-style swords, including katana, wakizashi, and tachi. Every piece is clay-tempered, sharpened, and polished by skilled hands — not machines. Our designs are guided by Hiroshi Sato, a seasoned swordsmith and researcher deeply rooted in samurai aesthetics. The name "NIMOFAN" comes from our founder’s daughter, Nimo — a reminder that this entire journey is built on love, integrity, and craftsmanship.
We believe a sword is more than steel — it’s a reflection of the one who forged it, and the one who holds it. We don’t chase hype or hide behind “Made in Japan” labels. We simply focus on what matters: quality, honesty, and heritage.
