Ordered on 1st December and still not received

Ordered and paid for 4 pairs of socks on 1st December and over 2 weeks later they haven't been received or even despatched to me yet. When the company bothers to respond to emails with their empty platitudes and excuses ('due to unforseen circumstances', 'due to surge in enquiries', 'there will be a delay of about a week') they have the audacity to ask you to stop sending chase-up emails as they slow down their fulfillment process! All I want for Christmas is for products I've ordered and paid for to be received in time to gift them. It will be a Christmas miracle if these socks are delivered in time for Santa.
