In 2025, our family experienced three separate incidents, and in each case, we feel the authorities have not taken our concerns seriously. 1. Someone hit my cousin’s parked car and drove away. We filed a report and provided CCTV footage, but we were simply told to claim the damage through insurance. 2. My daughter was smoking in a marketplace when a woman stared at her in an intimidating manner, causing my daughter to drop her cigarette. The woman picked up the cigarette, placed it in my daughter’s pocket, and took £20 from her. She then boarded the same bus as my daughter, acting as if nothing had happened. We reported this incident to the police, but they said there was no evidence or footage and closed the case. 3. My daughter was crossing the car park at Aldi when a car hit her and drove away. We reported the license plate, color, and model to the police. Although there is CCTV footage of the incident, it was deemed unclear, and since the car hit her at a slow speed, the case was closed. In all three cases, we feel that our reports were not taken seriously, and the authorities claim there is “no evidence,” despite us providing detailed information. This has led us to lose trust in the handling of these incidents.
