I purchased a NorthStar gas-powered air compressor from Northern Tool for approximately $1,700. The compressor would not run from the moment it was received. I attempted to resolve the issue by contacting Northern Tool customer service multiple times.
I have called three separate times and spoke with both a manager and a representative named Tammy. I was told that Chris would return my call regarding the issue, but I never received a call back. At this point, the compressor still does not run and no resolution has been provided.
What is especially concerning is that I personally know of three identical compressors of this same model that also would not run. This raises concerns about a possible quality control issue with this product.
For a product at this price point, I expected Northern Tool to stand behind the equipment and help resolve the problem quickly. Instead, my attempts to get assistance have been ignored.
I am requesting that Northern Tool provide a proper resolution, either by replacing the defective compressor or issuing a refund. A brand-new piece of equipment that never ran should be handled promptly under warranty or return policy.
