I have purchased from Novica twice. The first purchase - two scarves - was shipped within a reasonable period of time. The scarves were low quality, probably not silk (as advertised), and neither of them held up for more than a few wearings - which is very unusual for scarves, as they don't get hard use. But I like the idea of helping indigenous people who are trying to earn a living, so I made another purchase. That purchase was an alpaca poncho that was shipped from a US location. It took two weeks to arrive. The item is nice enough - okay, but nothing special - and I don't have high hopes that it will last much longer than those scarves. In the final analysis, I think buying from Novica should be viewed as making a charitable donation (without the tax write-off) and getting a souvenir in return. But if you're looking for good quality handmade items, you're going to be disappointed.
