My children hired Now It’s Clean Inc. as a birthday gift to me, paying $879.14 upfront for a full deep clean with add-ons (oven, fridge, cupboards, balconies). They found the company through Google, specifically because it carried the Google Guarantee.Despite what was promised, two full floors of my home were left untouched, including bathrooms, staircases, and my bedroom. The oven was left with toxic residue, which I had to clean myself before we could safely use it. I submitted photographic evidence and contacted the company immediately.They acknowledged in writing that 4.5 more hours were required to complete the work, but instead of making things right, they offered to send one cleaner for just 2 hours, and only if I signed a legal waiver preventing me from posting a review or contacting them again. The waiver falsely stated “as per our conversation” (which never happened) and called the return visit “complimentary,” despite the fact that we had already paid in full.When I declined the waiver and requested a refund, I was sent a threatening legal letter from their lawyer, accusing me of criminal extortion and defamation, simply for saying I would report my experience to Google, the BBB, and Consumer Protection Ontario.This experience has caused emotional distress, financial harm, and complete loss of trust. Instead of resolving the matter professionally, the company chose intimidation and legal threats. I have since filed formal complaints with the Law Society of Ontario, the BBB, and Consumer Protection Ontario. I am also pursuing a Google Guarantee refund.This review is based on documented, truthful events and submitted in good faith so that others can make informed decisions. What was meant to be a heartfelt gift from my children became a source of anxiety and injustice for my family.
