The boiler engineer and loft insulation team arrived at around midday and worked hard till 8.30pm to get the job done. I didn't realize it was such a big job of fitting vents on windows and drilling holes in walls for fans. After their visit ,the boiler pressure dropped and we found a leak in one radiator which started dripping through the ceiling. We used towels to soak up the water.As it was now late at night, it was difficult to get hold of anyone at the office. I left messages, and called the engineer, but in the morning had to call the original surveyor,Ahsan, as I still had his number .He then must have contacted the engineer, who phoned and told us to tighten the nut on the radiator where the leak was coming from. Luckily we had the right tool to do this otherwise we might have had more damage. Now the boiler and insulation are working well and we can feel the difference in warmth. Overall I am pleased although I am still trying to work out the radiator controls and thermostat as they were not explained.I have asked for a Gas safety certificate which I was originally promised but this has not yet materialised. I would say the main problem has been communication with the company, but more recently I have had much better contact with Asjad at NRS who has been helpful.
