No returns policy

The product took ages to arrive and was too late for the gift receiving. I did not open the box at all emailed them to asks for a refund. They refused the refund saying that even though the product has not been opened “for hygiene “ reasons they couldn’t accept returns. Really poor customer services especially since my consumer rights are that I absolutely can have a refund within 14 workings days of receiving the item.
