Then I couldn't find him, as he had parked on the side of our hotel, around the corner from the front door. (Most drivers know about this hotel's peculiarity; this driver did not.) He did not answer when I called him back. Finally he came looking for us. Once in the car, I realized he spoke almost no English. There was a sticky substance on the seat - It might have been leather conditioner - and he did not understand when I tried to explain it to him. Finally, I asked for a Kleenex (no luck) then a rag, which he produced and I cleaned the seat.
