I was supposed to have a mummy make over, with this person preforming my surgery at GOZDE INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL, IZMIRAfter arriving at the hospital, he took us into his office to discuss the procedure, and we found out then that he believed it was just a breast lift he was doing.I told him it was a mummy make over I had paid for and this included a Breast lift, breast implants, 360 lipo, tummy tuck and monz lift, to which he replied that he only knew about the breast lift, but it would be OK to proceed ahead with the Mummy makeover and everything that includedEverything seemed to be ok with the surgery but after a couple of days my care went downhill and on one occasion my husband had to complain to the nurses as Mr Polat was doing his rounds. The reason for the complaint was that I had been left in the bed, with my corset completely open, unable to move due to the surgery and needing to go to the toilet, and after asking numerous amount of times, no assistance came!Mr Polat came into my room, and said to me that he wanted me to be discharged immediately??? And because there were nurses in the room also, I believe he was showing off using his status and trying to punish and make an example of us for making a complaint.With this my husband responded immediately with his objection, as I only had the surgery a couple of days prior and I am also a type one insulin dependant diabeticBecause of the complaint Mr Polar then continued to call my husband rude, but when my husband asked why he was saying this, he said that he didn't like the way my husband sat in his office with his legs crossed????Following the surgery and arriving back to the UK, the stitches in both of my breasts became undone, my breasts became infected and due to this, I had to be treated for the infection at the breast clinic department at my county hospital, I had reached out to Mr Polat as he was my surgeon and had performed this surgery. Mr Polat advised I had to stay in the UK and seek medical advice.Also I realised, after the bandages were fully removed, that one of my breasts, the nipple was higher than the other one, one breast was smaller than the other and I hadn't been given the 360 lipo or monz lift, so it was obvious some of the surgery had not been doneI have been left with major scarring now all around the breast area and very hard lumps in both breasts and I paid for procedures that I didn't receiveI have been fighting ever since to try and get something done or some kind of refund or compensation for the botched surgery but Mr Polat or the Gozde hospital wont help - I have raised a separate review on how the Hospital has dealt with this situationAfter several months, Omar Polat decided to contact me by whatsapp as he was contacting patients to see how they were doing....so I replied to him, not happy and the reasons why and guess what, yes he just ghosted meI cannot believe that we all were getting on so well when discussing the procedure in his office prior to my surgery, and the change after my surgery, regarding the lack of aftercare and the abuse of power...you are in their hospital and reliant on them to ensure recovery and get back home to the UK....and they know it!!I think silence shows guilt and the fact that he ghosted me surely proves that. I also believe the power has gone to his head, but he is only a person like everyone else, apart from he has ruined my life and is just trying to walk away from it and forget about it.When I am asked about the procedure and how it went with Gozde and Mr Polat, I try and change the subject quickly.My confidence level was so high with Turkish Surgery ...then I met Mr Polat and he has destroyed all the confidence I had.You may have noticed that I am calling him Mr Polat instead of Dr Polat - the reason for this you may have guessed is that I cant believe somebody who performs this unprofessional sub- standard level of surgery and then just wants to brush it under the carpet can achieve the status of "Dr"I do hope this helps someone and no one else has to go through this type of experience and this review helps to give a realistic account of what I went through.
