During the workshop, I learned the importance of creating a shot list and shooting plan. I also learned how to use camera moves such as tilt, push, pan, and glide. I also gained essential knowledge about lighting and sound recording. I realized that one minute can mean a lot if you know how to effectively tell a story. The One Minute Academy has sparked my interest in the video industry like never before. This format will help me advocate for different causes, such as environmental protection, and share stories from across the country.I am grateful to the U.S. Embassy in Rwanda and to Chris Geisler for his generosity and ingenuity in teaching us over the past five days. This is a great start to my career as a radio journalist. As the media landscape changes, the skills I gained will be invaluable.
