Purchased a OnePlus 12 last year unfortunately I dropped the phone, my own stupid fault. With no insurance in place, phone powered up and alarm was going off every morning as set but all touch screen functions stopped working.Screen cracked on lower corner even with protector and case in place.Prior to this didn't have any issues with the phone.Contacted OnePlus and booked in online. And sent away for repair Just had a quotation report sent through from SBE saying it is unrepairable? Now I have had Samsung's, iPhones etc having 4 kids= which have been all repaired or refurbished at some point.I went for the OnePlus as prices were very reasonable at the time, and I needed a good camera for my work, even with the hassleblad logo attached to everything. But I fail to see how a flag ship model at one point, a year later is beyond economical repair or that parts are unavailable.I will never recommend that any one purchases any of these products if a year later they are obsolete. It all seems to be a bit of a con.?Lesson learned stick to the bigger brand names and make sure you have insurance in place.
