I purchased a One Plus 12 phone from Best Buy in Florida in Nov 2024. Recently I asked Att to unlock the phone being that I owned it outright. Att advised the Imei number was not valid and the phone could not be unlocked. Last week I changed carriers to Xfinity mobile and was again told the Imei number was not valid. As such I called One Plus and was advised to speak to the seller of the phone. I went to Best Buy and they too were unable to unlock the device. Fortunately the manager was helpful and allowed me to exchange the phone for a Samsung as I dare not buy another One Plus. The customer service at One Plus is nonexistent as they continue to cast the blame on both carriers. I have lodged a complaint with the BBB and with Best Buy urging them not to sell this brand.As good as the devices may be I would stay far away from this company. Hope this helps
