Had rob out for initial meeting to see my dog’s overexcitement issues, Rob got a got collar and tugged very hard at her neck, she let out several screams ( my dog is dramatic but she was scared) she did what rob told her to do but she was terrified and it’s not how I want my dog to be, scared of her handler. Charged 150 after yanking her around for ten mins outside. Then sat and showed me good reviews on his phone. Second visit rob kept changing the time, told him I was busy and not to bother ( by this time I’d found a lot of negativity surrounding rob online) I told him I’d found stuff about him online and he still comes to my door anyway and denies all of the stuff written online, says it’s someone trying to bring him down. Sorry but I have enough crap to deal with in my own life and don’t want to be involved in anymore, my MH can’t take it. Couple of weeks later and I notice a page on social media that has a post about rob putting a clients details phone number and postcode, pets name and her issues on his public instagram page, my personal details 😭. I was so bloody angry and blocked the man after this. Had my dog at another trainer and he says she has anxiety, when she heard a video lately with robs voice in it, she recognised him right away. Ears perked up and looking at me like no him again 🫣 put me right back in trusting people and put my dogs training back a few weeks at a crucial stage. Rob only seemed to be interested in taking her away for boarding: training and that is not what I wanted, I wanted balanced training with trust building and boundaries and not dragging and scaring my pup into submission. I also asked a couple of Scottish established dog trainers and was told to stay well clear as they’d not heard good things about Rob.
