I bought a bat a month ago after reading all the reviews. I selected the free knocking in and oiling option but when the bat arrived, the face of the bat was completely dry. I had to buy oil separately to prepare the bat and knock it with a hammer before using it. And when I did finally get a chance to use the bat in the nets yesterday, I noticed a big crack in the middle of the bat after playing only 20-25 balls. Terrible piece of willow, even for the price. And don't expect any oiling or knocking in services to be done on the bat - I guess that explains why it's free.
