Ordered 70 rolls of premium rye gold. The first 16 rolls were of good quality grass and this is the only reason it's getting more than 1 star. 14 rolls arrived in such poor condition. They were torn in the middle and the edges, large bald spots with no grass, large holes spanning more than 10cm's in places. Then just over 50% of our order was not cut to the 1.7metre length, they were around 158-162. To lose 10cm off of over 30 rolls is a massive issue in terms of measurements even with extra ordered for off cuts! Then the depth of the rolls is another issue. They state they will be 1inch thick, very few of the rolls we received were anywhere near this and some rolls had so little on that they were fragile and tore just trying to move them. This also meant that leveling the garden was pointless and your then re leveling with every roll you now do. I ended up having to spend another £60 on topsoil to account for this.I tried to fix/use as many as I could due to upcoming weather changes and trying to get the job done. However, I contacted them to replace 5 rolls as there were devestating and you could not repair them or even use them as smaller pieces. They looked like the edge of a field, little grass, chunks missing out of the edges and dead grass on the rolls too. They replaced these with another 5 very damaged rolls, you could not tell the difference between which was suppose to have been the replacement they were this bad. There response was 'we didn't even have to send you 5 replacements, it was a goodwill gesture for us to do this' they also suggested that the condition of these rolls are suitable for use despite literally having chunks missing out of the sides and the middle of the roll, the grass being dead and 2 of the replacement rolls had been delivered with no soil underneath in the middle so it just split upon unrolling. They will not do anything if you have an issue with your order. So unless you get lucky, only order a small amount and don't have any issues (like my first 16 rolls) then you should expect to receive subpar grass followed with poor customer service where they deny it's their problem or service that's at fault. The grass verge outside my house that cars routinely drive over looks better than some of the rolls we received.All in all I have now had to order turf from elsewhere to finish the last bit of my garden.
