My first order from Oud Attar - I had read good reviews about your fragrance house on the internet and from friends. Regarding the specific perfume (Amber Oud), it contained the combination of oud, amber, and musk that I was looking for. Its reviews were also promising. Therefore, I did a blind buy.Having received it, I was unfortunately very disappointed and a little perplexed. Disappointed because unfortunately, the smell of this fragrance is nothing special, and no different to perfumes I can buy on the high street for under £10. Perplexed because as soon as I apply it (on skin), within a few seconds, the smell disappears. And I have tried applying it several time, and in increasing quantity. If I had bought this from a third party retailer, I would come to the conclusion that it was a fake. I can't otherwise explain why it has such a weak fragrance that disappears nearly instantly after applying it.I contacted Oud Attar to explain the issue, and ask if I could return the product. They refused, since it had been 'used' - not sure how you are meant to smell the fragrance without using it, but this pretty much means they don't really have a return policy. And I could understand if the issue was that I just did not like the smell - but I don't expect to pay £40 for a perfume that disappears and cannot be smelled a FEW SECONDS after applying it. There must be something wrong with the bottle sent to me, but they weren't interested.
