OUIGO basically operate a form of scam as illustrated by our experience. Their late running train departed from the same platform, at the same time, to the same destination as our booked service with INOUI. Difficult enough to tell the distinction between the trains if you are a foreigner - it’s the same rolling stock - but they managed to confuse 6 people in our carriage alone, including French passengers. They then proceeded to charge us all the maximum fare for a journey we had already paid for. Both OUIGO and INOUI are owned by the same company SNCF Voyageurs, which profits from this double fare. The conductor and their customer service were aggressive in their refusal to recognise the problem caused by the confusion to many passengers, despite clearly making a large amount of additional money up and down the train. Their trains are low quality, our (double) fare was expensive, and the quality of the people is very poor. As is also shown by the huge quantity of other negative reviews here, I would avoid them like the plague.
