I purchased a pair of Gel-Sonoma 6 G-TX trail running shoes last month for running 3 miles to work and 3 miles back. The first time I used these in the rain (not even off road), by the time I arrived at work my feet were wet on the soles and toes. This was not due to rain entering through the opening in the shoe as just below my ankles was not wet. I contacted the Asics customer service team who advised that I should contact Gortex. I have since, repeatedly pointed out that my contract is with Asics who supplied the product NOT Gortex, and that the shoes are not fit for purpose. Their so called 'customer service advisor' just keeps saying that if the shoes aren't visibly damaged (which they are not), it is not their issue and constantly passes their legal responsibility to Gortex. My advice to anyone is DO NOT PURCHASE ANY SPORTSWEAR FROM THIS COMPANY, and based upon my current experience switch to a different make of running shoe.
