Unfortunately, the owner Dave is a bit of a cowboy - he doesn't return calls or emails and when you are on the course it becomes clear he is just trying to push numbers through; he doesn't remember you from one lesson to the next, is massively disorganised and communication is erratic when it happens. I chose this company because they appeared first on Google and had the most professional-looking website - but don't be fooled. I regret trying to get my bike licence with QuickStart. I failed Mod 2 and didn't do anything about it for over a year. When I tried to get back in touch with Dave he didn't return emails or calls for several weeks, despite repeated attempts to contact him. I then found Sean at Lambda Motorcycle Training and everything changed. He was polite, courteous and offered me a free assessment to judge my riding ability before suggesting additional training or going straight for the Mod 2 again. Sean was a real breath of fresh air - extremely diligent and professional, encouraging but critical where needed. If I had found Sean and Lambda earlier, but experience of trying to get my licence would have been a whole lot easier, less costly and I truly believe would have resulted in me being a safer rider at the end of it. Do yourself a favour, save some money, quicken the process and learn more & better - avoid QuickStart and go for Lambda. They do their tests in Swindon, but don't be put off - I have just passed my test there this morning and it was very straight forward. The examiner is a genuinely nice chap and the tuition Sean gave me ensured I fully knew what I was doing when the test came. Give Sean a call - its the only call you'll need to make to get your licence. This was not written by Sean himself! I am legitimately a student of his who passed his test less than four hours ago and I felt the need to publicise the great work Sean does.
