I placed an order for a study desk on 24th May. I received a confirmation email saying that the order is being processed and I will receive an email when it has been shipped.I received another email on May 26 saying that the desk will not be in stock until 10th June. The fact that the desk was not in stock was not specified on their website.I rang on 9th June to enquire about delivery. The customer service representative checked stock and confirmed that stock had still not arrived in the country and that when it does arrive it goes into Sydney first and then orders are despatched to Brisbane after that. So I was told another 2-3 weeks to wait.I could not go for that long without an office desk and went elsewhere. I rang and emailed today (10-06) to cancel the order and request a refund back via PayPal.I was then told that the request would have to go to a manager for approval and that the process would take about a week.The business should not be selling stock that they do not have on hand. At the very least they should clearly specify when the item will be available.I have instigated a claim via PayPal and the Department of Fair Trading.UPDATE: PayPal has now refunded my money 👍👍BUYER BEWARE. Not recommended 👎👎
