I’ve been supporting content creators for years on Patreon, and this is the first time I’ve had an issue. I attempted to call Patreon, and all of the numbers are either “not in service” or play an automated message that states that the number does not accept incoming calls. What’s the point of having a phone number that does not accept incoming calls??!!I follow an investment creator, Mr. Grace, on Patreon. I rarely access his platform (it’s mainly routed to Discord), and I’ve been paying $5 a month just to show support. I was fine with that.The issue is, the tier was changed from $5 to $20 over a year ago without my knowledge. This is an auto-debit, so I only realized this about a week ago.I don’t know if it’s even legal to quadruple the price on an auto-debit without my consent, and Patreon has been overcharging me since April 2023.I don’t blame Mr. Grace. If a tier changes in price, Patreon needs to deactivate that tier and send emails giving people the OPTION to sign up for the new tier price. They shouldn’t be able to change the price and continue to auto-debit the account. Don’t bait and switch me with the prices. I would like a full refund of the extra $15/mth I’ve been charged since April 2023. It’s now July 2024.I’ve been overcharged a grand total of ($15/mth x 16 mths) = $240, and I am requesting full refund of the $240 + any applicable taxes charged.
