I became a member of two Patreon accounts (Time Team and The Prehistory Guys) but after a few weeks I got a message that to continue watching the videos I had to become a member (again!) even though the webpage was showing my status as Member. To resolve this I had to verify my email address, but Patreon would never send me an email so it couldn't be verified. I then also got locked out of my other account.It seems from the other reviews that this is Patreon's policy. It is inconceivable that their IT people can't figure out how to send email confirmations, so it's time Patreon was prosecuted for fraud.
