Patreon is a scammer. We signed up for an annual patronage. At the end of the annual subscription, they billed us for the renewal before notifying us. We'd planned to not renew the patronage. When we contacted them they refused to refund us and told us to contact the person we were supporting. But they'd cut off our access to him on our membership page, so there's no way to contact him. After a couple of weeks of back and forth, they still haven't refunded us. And getting in touch with them in the first place was almost impossible. It took two days of tracking down phone numbers before we were able to speak to a person, but that person told us the same bad information that the email "support" people gave us. We're disputing the credit card charge and will take them to court. I've never dealt with such lazy and stupid customer support people before. It makes me never want to patronize anyone on Patreon. What a shame.
