I had a bad experience with a vanity press years ago. Moving my backlist to Pens & Pages was the best decision. They treated my older work with the same respect as a new release. Highly satisfied with their service!
I contracted with Pens & Pages 1/28/26. My project manager was Ben. He talks over you, yells and makes excuses why he dropped the ball. I am promised a new project manager so hopefully this negative review will turn into a positive one. This is supposed to be a great experience publishing your first book but so far it’s been very stressful and right now I regret giving them my $2199. I will update my review as I go. As of now, all I can say is I regret my decision joining with them.
I didn’t know the difference between developmental editing and proofreading. My project manager at P&P was patient enough to explain the 'why' behind every change. I learned more about writing through this process than I did in college.
