The perurail ticketing man/agent in Ollantaytambo tried to charge us the full price of US$125/each for their Vistadome train to Machu Picchu. We asked about any promotions available and he said there was none. After we started walking away, he then said there WAS a promotion at US$84/each for the 10:32AM VistaDome train. The date was August 18, 2019. The trip itself was quite enjoyable, and my wife enjoyed her pisco-sour, but be sure to check the price on the website before approaching the ticket counters.
