We'd never used PetBacker before and found someone who had a lot of positive reviews. We received photos every day of our trip, up until the last day, when the Petbacker called us to tell us that our beautiful boy had died. On the platform, our Petbacker stated that pets are never left unattended, but this happened when they had left the house. Furthermore, she lied about what had happened: that he broke his neck jumping out the window. The vet told us that he'd been mauled by her dog. The despicable part is that Petbacker told us they'd permanently blacklist her from the platform. Lo and behold, I checked to make sure - it's been 2 months since it happened, and she's taken on more bookings - as short as 2 weeks after our dog died in her care. I guess the reviews and trust just absolutely cannot be trusted - apparently PetBacker sweeps gross negligence under the rug and lets people continue booking with PetBackers without giving them the full picture. Absolutely despicable.
