Our experience that is my dog Kate and i , has been positive .Kate from a young pup has had acute reactions to too much fat in her food . The Hills Science product , the leanest minced beef , no matter what we tried it always resulted in an uncomfortable diarrhea condition . A transition to a diet with as little fat content had to be achieved and after an attack that possessed all the symptoms of Pancreatitis and a rush to an emergency vet for treatment , then an additional scan to assess any internal damage thankfully there was none , it was concluded that it was unlikely a Pancreatic attack . From that experience on more research was undertaken and the meat most likely to be suitable was lean kangaroo mince . Thankfully Kate has transitioned well to the change , a human grade product is what we use in the making of meatballs which make up the basis for her diet .The meatballs have six ingredients , kanga mince ofcourse , grated raw carrot , grated baby cucumber , three quater cup of steamed Basmati rice . On Mondays & Fridays Kate gets a hardboiled egg added to the mix on her Lickimat , also a PetzPark product . T W T S Sunday Kate has a small tin of Brunswick Wild Caught Sardines in springwater , the best source of Omega 3's on the planet . Katie is the fittest most on the go Kelpie i have ever seen and she now thrives i believe because of her revised diet , her meatballs are partially airfried , the boiled egg and Sardines are added cold as heat detroys the goodness they contain .
