this is in relation to West Didsbury Letting agency Horrendously poor service. For a short duration of 6 months I have had endless problems. It charges the highest fee but has the worst service ever in Didsbury. AVOID!1) never has my keys, constantly misplaced, I have lost contractors because they just couldn't be bothered to chase Philip James up, resulting delays in getting stuff done. My partner drove from Chester to Manchester to pick up keys after checking they had them only to find out the office didnt! what a waste of a journey. They had my keys for a week - misplaced and tried to blame on my contractor who fitted a new lock. During this time Philip James made several suggestions saying all my locks should be changed. It was ludicrous. 2) rude staffs commented by several contractors I employed and it goes up the chain too 3) bad inventory and check out experience- pics of stains etc not picked up and I am having to point them out. Tenant left food stains in oven, kitchen tops, microwave etc and Philip James suggested a payment of £25 was adequate to cover that only after I bargained for my case. When I told a couple of the cleaners, they actually laughed out loud at the low cost. Oven cleaning itself was more than that. They wont even bother to clean at that rate for what needed to be done 4) removing my tile when I told then specifically not to and I had my own plumber who had specific plans. Then they of course denied they knew about it. Adding extra unnecessary cost to me which they tried to label as in my interest? really in my interest to throw money away. WOW5) out of hours service failing to attend to water leaks in my flat, a service I pay for.Philip James blamed it on their out of hours service team, yet if they were incompetent why does Philip James employ them? again extra damage to my property and extra cost to me... as a further slap in the face they charged me for the out of hours service anyway. 6) communication - i actually found I got more done communicating with the tenant because Philip James were so poor, as did the tenant I am sure, to have contacted me directly. I told them it was emergency contacts only when I was in Africa with limited internet. Despite so Philip James actually asked me when a contractor would attend when the contractor had left the office loads of messages whilst I was away. What does Philip James want me to do? Self manage from Africa to make up for their incompetencies? and I actually pay for this???this was over errmmmm.....6 months! OH MY! i have no words...well actually lots and I feel exhausted!
