Purchased the Phoenix travel system as sounded superior to Berkey and Newton and really wish I hadn’t. The filter leaked no matter how much I loosened or tightened the nut. The cartridge was depositing particles into the filtered water even after being primed and flushed 4 times. The filter was disintegrating in my hand when being handled. I contacted customer services with these concerns and they agreed it was faulty and offered to send a new filter candle. I declined due the multiple problems and the fact i had already been away where I had planned to use the travel filter. I returned on the agreement that if the filter were found to be faulty on inspection they would cover return postage as is my consumer right. I have only received a partial refund minus £6.80 for return postage even though the filter was faulty and agreed faulty by Phoenix from the multiple videos and photos sent. Only one fault was addressed on the return inspection which was the leak. The filter was only leaking when the upper cartridge was full so a quick test with a little water wouldn’t have shown the problem. The customer service has been appalling, being passed between different people, past things discussed being forgotten. I have wasted so much time back and forth, trying different things to fix the issues, providing evidence. AVOID AVOID AVOID
